I am feeling very pleased with myself!

A couple of days ago I went onto my favourite catalogues website and saw that they had their Summer preview and get 15% off so I thought I would have a little look….

I ended up ordering two summer dresses (one black, one white), two ra ra skirts (one black, one hot pink), a pair of beige combat trousers and a pair of black ballet shoes. Once the discount was taken off and I also had £30 commission to spend, the whole lot only cost me £52!

Then today I popped into Tesco to get some milk and saw that they had a sale as well so I thought I would have a quick look and I managed to get four tops for £20 and all in my size which is very unusual as there is normally only the bigger sizes left!

What a result! : D

My first daffodil has appeared in my garden!

It looks a bit lonely though as it is the only one that has flowed so far….

It does look very cheery! : )

Woo Hoo! After having my laptop for two days the very nice computer people who work near me have fixed the update loop on my computer! : )

It look them a few attemps because it was not as straightforward as hoped. And they are very kindly only charging me £23.50 for all the work they have done!

Thanks goodness for that! Just got to sort out my Internet Provider now….*sigh*

I also have to say a big thank you to everyone who was trying to help me get this fixed, but especially Michelle who was trawling through the forums on the web trying to find solutions!

Mum is about to start a new course of cancer medicine and going onto a drug called Velcade as her body has become drug resilient and her previous drug has stopped working.
On the last two occasions that mum has started a new cancer drug she arranged her funeral and then updated her will.

This time she has asked dad if he will go through all the arrangements and the memory boxes that she has made for us all to make sure that she hasn’t forgotten anything. Dad has said no and that they have plenty of time to do that. So mum has asked if I will come as well and the three of us can go through them instead.

I think it will be quite a difficult day and that’s probably why mum hasn’t asked my sister as she would find it too upsetting.

Why is it that drivers who drive big vehicles feel that they can do what they want on the roads?

This morning I was waiting at traffic lights where two lanes go into one and beside me was a big lorry. When the lights changed to green I went past the lorry and he must have put his foot down because as the lanes joined and I was in front of him he blew his horn at me which made me jump out of my skin as lorry horns are very loud!

As we then aproached the roundabout and waiting in traffic he continued to blow his horn at me and then when I pulled away flashed his lights at me.

It left me feeling rather unsettled and I am considering contacting the supermarket chain that the lorry belonged to to complain.

I didn’t cut him up, I mean who in their right mind is going to argue with a lorry??!! So I don’t know what his problem was..
