Read 2008

Well, new year new page!

The ones highlighted in pink are the ones that I think are best!

Martina Cole - Faces

Unfortunatelty I couldn’t finish this book. I adore Martina Cole but this book is very disappointing.

John Connolly - The Book of Lost Things

An adult’s fairytale. Very interesting, funny in some places but also quite dark in places as well. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to read an alternative version of the well known fairytales.

Raven Hart - The Vampires Kiss

Raven Hart - The Vampires Betrayal

Raven has yet again produced two fantastic books. I love the relationship between the main charators and once again was laughing out loud, crying and anxiously turning the pages of these wonderful vampire books.

Philippa Gregory - The Favoured Child

Another brilliant historical drama by Philippa Gregory. I felt lot’s of different emotions whilst reading this book as it had so many twists and turns. Throughly enjoyed it!

Slash

See my review on the main page of this blog.

Sarah Pinborough - The Taken

Brrrrr scary book! I found myself watching the end of the bed expecting to see child ghosts. Very gruesome in places but a real page turner to find out what happens next!

Ken Follett - The Pillars of the Earth

What a brilliant historical book! I loved it. My review can be found on the main page of this blog.

Rose Melikan - The Blackstone Key

Unfortunately I couldn’t finish this book. It just didn’t hold my attention. It sounded like it would be a good book but unfortunately for me, it wasn’t.

Wicked - Gregory Maguire

I have stopped reading this book for now. Although I was enjoying it I wasn’t really in the mood for a fantasy book.

The Memory Keepers Daughter - Kim Edwards

Brilliant! See my review on my main page

Before the Storm - Judith Lennox

Really good book. You can see my review on the main page.

Lost and Found - Jacqueline Sheehan

I have stopped reading this book, not because it is a bad book, just not my cup if tea.

A piece of cake - Cupcake Brown

Brilliant. My review can be found on the main page.

Bag of Bones - Stephen King

Another good book from Stephen King, my review can be found on the main page.

Lots of pink there, so it looks like it’s shaping up to be a good reading year!
