The Law of Attraction

Have you been trying to make changes in your life using the Law of Attraction and find that somehow you keep slipping back to your old way of doing things?

If so, take heart. Like everything else in life, the Law of Attraction simply takes a little practice.

Try these simple steps if you want to make real long-lasting changes in your life.

1. Watch Your Words.

Make sure you catch yourself when you are pre-assuming the way something is going to turn out. Some examples: “I knew she was going to be difficult!”, “I knew he was going to turn out to be a cheater!”, “I knew I should never have hired him”, “I knew I was going to hate this class…this job…this assignment”, etc.

You attract to yourself in the physical world what you focus on mentally. That is what the Law of Attraction is all about. So while you may think it was “intuition” and that you were “right” when it worked out that way, you in fact were simply drawing to you the one thing you “feared” that would happen by focusing your thoughts on it turning out badly. Pay attention to your thoughts and words to ensure that you are not creating the exact situation you are trying to avoid.

2. Remember every day and every situation is different.

Just because you stood on a long line the last time you went to a certain store, does not mean it is going to happen every time you go to that store. It could have just been a bad day; but if you walk in looking for similar trouble, I can almost guarantee you will find it. Keep an open mind that past experiences don’t equal future ones and that every experience is a brand new one filled with new possibilities.

3. Remember that everything is constantly changing.

If it seems like nothing is changing in your life, it is simply because you keep having the same old thoughts which keeps bringing you the same old results. Every new day brings new possibilities and every situation could turn out differently than it did the “last time”. Start thinking outside of the box and mentally come up with new ways a situation can turn out that is more to your liking.

4. Get Crysal Clear About What You Want To Change And Write It Down.

Quite often people say they want things in their life to change, yet if you ask them how specifically, they do not know the answer. Spend some time getting clear about what exactly you want to change and write down the ways you can start making those changes. For example, if you want to lose weight, write down how much weight you want to lose, what your final weight goal is, what exercises you can do to accomplish it, what diet changes you can make. Mentally envision yourself doing these things and being proud of yourself. If a negative thought pops in like “I know I’m never going to be able to stick with this” pivot immediately to a better thought such as “Today is a new day and I can do whatever I want to do with it. Yesterday does not equal today.”
